I (she/her) am an artist with a studio at Eagle Works, Wolverhampton. I nurture a love of craft, and through practice I explore it's role in space-making and community building. celebrating heritage and domestic crafts, predominantly yarn-spinning, my work connects these processes with their ability to deepen connections and aid through challenges.
after finding myself responding to my own experience of loss by developing a habitual reliance on yarncraft, I began to recognise and research the longstanding parallel between craft and grief.
my current work is a result of questioning the role that domestic acts of care can have within a contemporary art practice. by embracing the value of play, I honour friendships, gratitude, joy and recovery.
this work is funded by grants and opportunities, and subsidised by additional work including teaching, coaching, and the creation of commercial materials.
please get in touch to enquire about teaching workshops, a yarnsona commission, or something different! I'd be happy to discuss possibilities with you :)))
